I bought that satin suppose to be bonnet that just DOESNT FEEL LIKE SATIN AT ALL....so I went back to my silk scarf and im happy with it !

I've tried the lightweight silk scarves in the past and always had an issue with them staying on my head. I'm willing to give it another try. You guys have yet to steer me wrong in the few months that I've lurked.

i agree...cant be bothered now that i have kinky twists in but i do love it. i need to make more...i want some print ones!!! ohhh and a silk bonnet.

Yes, they are! I got 2 100% silk scarves at Old Navy after reading a thread here and they are wonderful for my hair.

I need to get some silk pillowcases next.

Oooh..I totally agree! After months of wearing satin scarves and durags, I decided to try silk. I went to Joann's Fabrics and bought a yard of 100% silk so that I could make a scarf with extra long ties to wrap around my head twice; so that it would stay on my head all night. I love the feel of my silk scarf, and it lays my edges down so well.

That's a great idea. Just going to a fabric store and buying the silk yourself.:yep:

yup...i just got half a yard. i like the idea of the long ties though!

Good luck. I went to the Jo Ann's around here and they had 2 kinds. I asked to see the "purest" kind of silk and my satin scarf felt silkier. I walked out.

Perhaps they showed you raw silk. This fabric is rough and nubby in texture, definately now what you should use to protect your hair from damage!
