I used the regular formula on my hair and it didn't seem to straighten as well. I used the mild formula on my daughter's hair and it seemed straighter than mine. What formula do you ladies use and do you like the results?
I initially used the regular lye on my hair but when I retouch, I'll probably opt for the mild. I really like my results. It's been 2 months and my hair is still holding on.
I have thick 4a hair, and I used regular the first time. Regular got me bone straight pretty fast, so I used mild the next time and it still got really straight. I like the mild better, though. How long did you leave the relaxer on your hair?
I used regular lye formula. It straightened me nicely. I went almost 13 weeks and just relaxed last friday. Last time I used it I went almost 11 weeks and it was even straighter but I'm sticking with the regular lye. HTH!
I have 4a/b hair that is I guess you would say medium as regards to the texture and abundance. I used regular and I got straight QUICKLY. I am currently almost 8 weeks post relaxer and I haven't seen any problems yet with increases dryness or breakage. I won't be using it for my next relaxer just because I am going to be going to a stylist to get it done instead of doing it myself. If I do it again myself I will get the mild and use that.
