Ladies,

Yesterday I wen to Sallys and got some SE Relaxer and this time after having relaxed my hair feels really dry. I don't think that I did anything differently then the last time and now I'm wondering what can I do to bring the mositure back to my hair. I used the SE Moisturizing conditioner but, I just don't understand. I was thinking of washing it again but, it just feels really different.

Please help~

Thanks,
Nella

If you have some porosity control try using that.
or some NTM

after relaxing I apply porosity control and it transforms my hair even more, leaving it feeling silky and moisturized. :yep:

I'de be willing to bet it's the SE Moisturizing Conditioner that's making your hair dry. Me, my mom, and my best friend all had the same bad results with it, crunchy dry hair.

If you're interested in trying other products from the line, maybe the MegaCholesterol or the Moisturizing Treatment might work for you.

Ditto. I used the Porosity Control conditioner on my hair immediately after rinsing out the relaxer, and left it on about 5 minutes. Then, I rinsed and applied Motions Moisture Plus for another 10 minutes. Rinsed, neutralized, and deep conditioned with more Motions Moisture Plus. My hair felt wonderful afterwards.:)

I'm definitely going to wash and condition it again and see what happens. I mean my hair feels even hard to the touch. I sure hope that when I try this tonight I don't get the same result. This is really upsetting to me. I waited to 13 weeks to relax and this is how it turned out. The last time it was silky smooth.

I'm starting to think maybe I picked up the wrong box or something because, it felt so runny when I was putting it on my head. Usually the relaxer is creamy but somewhat stiff and this felt much different. I hope my hair don't fall out. It wouldn't be a good look.....

Lord, I hope this wash and condition changes things....

Box...did you use the no-lye SE? (I use the lye version)

Maybe your hair is drying out because of the calcium in the no-lye formula. Try washing with a chelating shampoo (such as ORS Creamy Aloe shampoo) to remove the calcium buildup, then do your deep conditioner. HTH.

:) I just wanted to thank you all so much for your help. I washed my hair with Aphogee and then deep conditioned, then applied Aphogee Reconstructor and I swear there was no shedding after this wash. I blowdried and then added some Jojoboa Oil and here is how it turned out....

I know before doing this I thought I was going to wake up and my hair was going to fall out. Thanks for your help!!!!
