I think I'm single handedly the reason the keep Silk Elements in stock in my area. I love this line.

Not one to say 'told you so', but WE TOLD YOU SO!! B_Phlyy, Priestess and meself are screaming the praises of this line from the rooftops ain't we?

You said it girl! ;)

I love how Sally's helps empower us girls and liberates us from stylists. They make a quality relaxer highly accessible and for cheap!! That relaxer is so good. I always refer to it as a conditioner with a relaxer thrown in!

:scratchch hmmm conditioner with some relaxer thrown in it... I like the way you think lol

For real, girl. The ingriedients really do read like a jar of conditioner. Avocado, jojoba, coconut oils, shea butter, collagen and silk proteins. Heck, just reading them to myself makes me want to relax again.

Just self-relaxed for the first time with this tonight and I have to say, my hair is ridiculously soft! Can't stop touching it! Too bad I'm severely underprocessed...

Congratulations girl! I used this for my 1st time self relaxing experience too back in June. I like to affectionately refer to my hair as being "textlaxed" and call it day. :look:

Maybe it'll come out straighter next time...

Are you guys using regular or mild? What type of hair do you have? I used Mild this time and I had to do a corrective. Most of my hair is 80% straight. I still have a few underprocessed parts. I was wondering if I should bump up to Regular in November when I relax again.

I used Regular and have straight up 4b hair. My hair is pretty much completely underprocessed with areas that look like relaxer didn't even touch it! But I attribute this to not parting in small enough sections and not using enough relaxer, not the strength of the relaxer itself. :) Don't know if I should attempt a corrective or just let it be for another 10 weeks.....

I used Silk Elements last night and all I can say is Dayum!!!! This stuff ain't no joke! I followed the instructions precisely, I only processed for 15 minutes and I'm almost very straight! I had to wash it out immediately because I wanted body left in my hair! I like that it didn't burn and I scratched 2 days before, my hair feels very soft. It's a little straighter than I like so I'll have to get used to that...oh well. Next time I'm using mild because this sucka is potent! I taught I had course hair but I guess not...if I'd processed the full 20-22 minutes I would have been bone strait, I am impressed. If you all recalled I had a disaster with Arosci's texturizing relaxer, it made me shed something horrible....5 large handfuls of hair to be exact. I experienced very little shedding with this relaxer, after I rinsed it out I used porosity control which I think helped. I neutralized for like 30 minutes just to be safe. I didn't have a lot of tangling also, overall I like this relaxer and will be using it again, only in mild form though.

Well, I did it, I put my Silk Elements regular in on Wednesday. I wanted to wait a few days before I posted my final opinion... Well, first off, either I need mild next time or I need to add an oil before applying, or I need to not even ATTEMPT to smooth it. Talk about BURNING:eek:  !!! Not until I started to smooth though. So, I quickly started rinsing the relaxer out of my head. STILL BURNING!!! I had to neutralize poo at least 6 times and really concentrate on this one spot on my left side. I ain't gonna lie, I was SCARED I was losing some hair!! Anywho, I did a reconstructor and a deep con with heat and now, 3 days later, I'm about to wash/con/ deep cond. I have no scabs( was sooo scared I would) and the straightest darn hair!! So overall, uh, good but I gotta watch it:p !

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!

I just used it yesterday and I must say DAYUM!!!! l0l...I got the Regular formula, my hair came out nice..just how I like it...It was sooo soft and silky...When I flat iron it just glided through my hair, I was like WOW!! and it lays down..I don't have to put much in my hair now..I used Sunsilk 24/7 Creme and the Silk Elements Leave in and that was it and my hair is swinging and it's soo pretty..My brother even notices he was like dannng your hair is long and shiny..I was like why thank you l0l....I LOVE IT

Bumping for current SE lye users, is this formula still really potent or has it lightened up some over the years?
