[Well....., today I had my re-touch. I tried the SE regular LYE. My beautician said, "You have so much hair after 8 weeks!" I was surprised at the statement. I knew my new growth was really thick after the longest stretch I've ever done but even she was surprised and asked what I had been doing {only told her INFUSIUM, SURGE, INDIAN oils}. She really liked the way SE {the salon does not carry it} did not burn and allowed her time to work my entire head twice! I'm most happy there was no burning except a little near my lower right nape which she stopped with a spray of ORS olive oil sheen. So far, it's a keeper.

I love SE myself. Its a great relaxer that leaves my hair incredibly soft and silky. If it wasnt for hair boards, I would have never tried it.:)

Okay, so this is not the first time you used SE, is it?

I've been stuck on Vitale Life & Body & then Mo Body when I couldn't find that one. Do you guys think SE is better and why?

Same for me Shunta.
Brooklyn...Glad it worked out for you.:)

Thank you, I'm glad it worked out too. I like the feel and the look. I brought the SE neutralizer and ISOPLUS color change neutralizer, requested she use both for 4 rinses. Yes, Shunta. Today was the first time using SE which I purchased myself at SALLY's. I tried to include a photo to my post but failed so added it to my screwy FOTKI {still trying to get the hang of adding more photos there.} The last time I had a re-touch was my first time using the salon's LYE{still do not know what she used}, with a substitute stylist and I burned badly, scalp was torn-up for at least 8 days. LHCF members, emu oil, vitamin E and neosporin healed my scalp with no hair loss.

I'm glad you've come over to the Silk Element side:) The line has other wonderful products, including hair mayo and my beloved Mega Cholesterol. I'm gonna ask my local Sally's to put me on the payroll. I keep pushing their products:grin:

Im so glad that SE worked out for you.:) And for $3.99 you cant beat it!

I'm a Vitale Life and Body user and tried both Vitale and Silk Elements on my daughter's head of hair and I liked the Vitale better. SE was good but not good enough for me to switch, like I did when I used TCB Bone Straight for over 10 yrs and tried Vitale, I was sold :D . But you may need to try it in order to make a decision for yourself.

Thanks B.W.E.! Just what I was hoping I'd hear! I'm really loving it. I really hate that they've changed the formula though. I first fell in love with it because aloe vera was like #2 or 3 on the ingredient list and the lye was like last or next to last= NO BURN, SILKY HAIR, and BODY HEAVEN!
