how often and how much are you using? if this happens to me, it's usually because i go a little overboard with them. i love them because they give so much shine and eliminate static, but too much of some stuff just isn't good...

My hair loves cones. They've never made my hair hard or dry. Have you clarified your hair lately?

That happened to me once. I loved Pantene smooth and sleek so much that I deep conditioned with it. Then it went downhill from there

. It took awhile to remove the buildup so you definitely should clarify and perhaps put it aside for a minute. I now only use it occassionally. I'm back in love with the cones.

Vev, is your hair well moisturized before you apply 'cones? 'Cones are made to smooth out your hair not moisturize so your hair will feel hard and dry if it isn't well moisturized before you applied them. Remember also that they act as a sealant so if it wasn't soft enough before you applied them, it won't get soft from applying them, and you won't be able to apply anything else to soften your hair coz they are almost impervious to moisture. That's why it's a good thing to apply them to wet hair so that the moisture from the water is locked in.

Same here! I just switched to Keracare Humecto and the difference was amazing! I think its the type of cones you use and how often you use them. I would use a clarifier and then try another brand to see how well your hair responds.

Just out of curiosity, could someone please list the ingredients as they appear on Motions Moisture Plus and as they appear on Keracare Humecto. I'm sorta curious about sth.

Thanks in advance.

Keracare Humecto: water, glycerine, dimethicone copolyol, isostearate, polyquaternium-32 (and) mineral oil, quaternium-80, pathenol, dimethicone, extracts of: (nettle, pine, burdock, chamomile, rosemary, ivy, arnica, lime, corn flower, wild chamomile, St. John's wort, water-cress and garlic), perfume, methylparaben, propylparaben, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone.

Motions moisture plus: water, mineral oil, polyquaternium-32, glycerin, quaternium-80, dimethicone, copolyol isosterate, dimethicone, panthenol, dmdm hydantoin, fragrance.

The best one out of the two is the humecto. I get good result from the motions too, but I cant keep using it repeatedly or my hair gets hard.
