Signs of hard water?

So what are the signs to hard water? i THINK i MAY HAVE IT but I don't know for sure because my skin does feel a lil rough after showers

Yeah i live in Brooklyn and the water is SO hard and dry. I recently bought a shower head/filter from Targe' and Im hoping that makes a difference. Its supposed to get rid of chlorine and other toxic substances. We shall see.....
