bumping... I'll be wearing buns for the rest of the winter until spring approaches. How do I feel about wearing buns? well, there isn't much work involved so I actually enjoy it now for some reason. I'm hoping by spring that I would have accumilated some more length by then so that I can have even longer hair . :)

I have been wearing my hair in a bun frequently since Aug. 05. I did it mostly out of laziness and partly as a part of my low stress regime. Once I made the decision to transition after scouring LHCF, I saw the bun in an entirely different light. Everytime I wash my hair I keep telling myself that I will do twists/outs or braids/outs. But it never happens. After take my time going so slow and careful washing and detangling, I go for that fast and easy bun and I am done.

The hard part is I am one for switching up my styles frequently and wearing a boring bun gets mighty freekin' old after a while. But what's a girl to do? :ohwell:

I'm going to continue to wear protective styles until I reach all my hair goals, and even then I'm still going to wear them just not so often. They help me retain length and aid in the growth of my hair, so I dont mind wearing them 80% of the time. :) Its also easier for me to manage my hair, especially now since I'm transitioning, and I'd rather spend 10-15 mins styling my hair than 30+ mins every morning.

yes, I know what you mean ... I know that I am going to get bored of wearing buns, so I might switch it up and straighten once every few months :)

I am like everyone else, lol... I love feeling my hair on my back but I am sooooo paranoid and i can just constantly think of the fact my ends are down that I can't wear it down too long b/c I haven't reached my goals yet.. And I am starting to think when I do reach BSL I might not wear it down too much due to the fact I can't deal with throwing it behind my back.. but none the less I will flaunt it some time.
