I don't know, but some people have suggest that I should use that. It is probably cheap and all. And It can help for hair growth. Even though it is for preganant women, people can still use it. I mean My momma probably won't let me use it but it is still okay. What do you think????

Nessa,

Prenatal pills do not make your hair grow any faster than a multivitamin. The reason why pregnant women hair grow while taking prenatal pills is because of the hormones that are racing thru a pregnant woman's body, not the prenatal pills.

You could also look at a bottle of prenatal pills and a multivitamin bottle and you will see that they have the same (witht he exception of Folic Acid) vitamins listed. In some cases, the Multivitamins would probably have MORE of the "good stuff" that you may want to take and need to take.

No, don't take any prenatals. A supplement for teens or any regular multivitamin should be enough for you, Nessa.

Some of those prenatals have more than the required RDA for certain nutrients and that might not jive too well with your developing body.

I wouldn't take prenatal pills...why not try a hair, skin, and nails formula if you're looking for a hair vitamin.

Yeah, I agree with the others. I was taking prenatal pills myself (because I thought they made my hair and nails grow too) I actually didn't notice any changes until I stopped taking them and began taking a multi vitamin and the hair, skin and nails formula.

Also, I have read that taking a prenatal vitamin contains more iron than the daily dosage requires and could be harmful to women that are not pregnant.

I took them for a couple of months. Turns out there's way too much iron in them (if you aren't pregnant). I was so constipated as a result!!

Okay, than what a cheap hair vitamin?

Nessa, Walmart and Target sell a hair vitamin simply called "Hair." (They also have one for nails called "Nails.") It only costs like $3 and it has a good range of vitamins important for healthy hair. I remember someone on the old site recommending it (maybe henrilou?), so I tried it because it was cheap. Ultimately, I found it effective
