Ok ladies, I have a question. How bad and how hard is it to just perm your edges...I've been a natural for about 2.5 years. And I really want to perm just my edges...Please tell me what you think. And what product would be best for this.. Thanks in advance. :look:

You mean the in the front, around the hairline?

It would seem that it would be better to texturize the front, because you don't want the front to be straight and the rest to be natural!

I use PCJ lye for this, and I love it. :)

You read my mind! I've been thinking the same thing. I have a couple of natural friends who do this every five months or so :)

It's not hard, just a quick application around your hairline, and it blends in nicely, just don't let it sit in too long.

Do you know what type of products they used? I hate how nappy my edges or hairline gets after I work out...I don't have a problem with the rest of my hair just the hairline....I wonder if this will make my hairline thin??? so many question....

I'll ask them what products they use, but their hairlines aren't thin at all. I believe because only the hairline is relaxed quickly and rinsed out within a few minutes, it's okay.

If your edges are thin now though, they will appear to be thinner after the relaxer. I don't know how mine would look, that's why I'm holding out.

I work out often so I feel your pain, and you've been natural for a few years so I can only imagine.

Take care.
