Should I get a sew-in at this point?

I'm currently 21 weeks post and am stretching to 26 weeks and would like to know with all this new growth, would it break my hair off to get it braided and weave sewn in? I'm looking to do a low mani style instead of continual buns and braidouts, which only lasy 2 days.

That's what I just did. I want to continue my stretch (currently 10 weeks) so I got a sewin.

If you get it done right and take care of ur hair---your hair should continue to flourish w/ it in :yep:

I'd do it :yep: especially if you're like me, and have never had any bad experiences with wearing a sew in

Its up to you. You can get a sew in, but since you only have four weeks left in your stretch, you will only be able to enjoy this weave for 3 weeks, as you will need 1 week to DC and let your hair breathe; so I suggest cornrowing your hair and wearing either a full wig or a half wig (you can leave out the front when you cornrow).

I like weaves, but it a little more difficult to get your hair uniformly moisturized. With the other option, you take of the wig and moisturize the cornrows to your hearts content

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I may go with the wigs for now...that way I'll be able to take better care of my hair underneath as opposed to the sew in.
