Should I Dye My Hair While Transitioning???

Hello again!

I have been interested in dying my hair, but have opted out due to fear of damage. Now that I'm transitioning I'm wondering if I should just give it a shot. I've been feeling the urge to cut lately, so maybe changing the color will help ease my need to try something new. I mean, if things go wrong then I can just go ahead and BC. I would rather not...but now would be the time to experiment since my relaxed ends will need to go eventually. It would suck to wait and grow my natural hair long only to dye it and then realize my hair doesn't like dye. Then I would have to start all over after years of growing it out. So...what do you ladies think?? Is now the best time to try dye? Or is transitioning hair too fragile for the extra stress? Or...should I just wait until I am fully natural and then try getting it dyed? I would like it dark on the bottom(like a color #4) and then some lighter blondes and golden browns on the top. My hair is 1b/off black, so it is pretty dark. There are some lighter areas around the front that are a color #2 though. So what do you ladies think...should I go for it or not?? Also, if you have light/dyed hair...please share your pics as well.

Here is a pic of the colors I like...this is my favorite lace front wig "Tori"

And this is my other wig "Yellow" by Bobbi Boss in 4/27

MAkes sense to me if you are going to put in the extra effort and if you dont mind BCing if things go bad. I want to dye but I'm going to wait until I am fully natural because I'm still trying to keep these relaxed ends as long as possible.

If I were you, I would do it now to see how your hair reacts - I did that when my hair was shorter, because I would only lose 5 months of growth if I had to BC again, rather than wait YEARS and let my hair grow out, then end up ruining it with dye and have to start all over. However, you should ask yourself if it's going to be a color you want to keep up with, or just do it to try it once. After I got it out of my system, I have no desire to dye my hair again - especially since my hair is resistant to coloring and it takes more than one process for the color to take, which was fine for one time, but could be damaging in the long run.

Here's a pic of my hair - I had to dye it twice to even see a difference in my natural color, especially when my hair was wet! I actually LOVE this color on me, but alas, we will have to part. I've come way too far in my journey to take on a year setback if something went awry!

i did it 1 year in my transition, but b/c my hair is fine and very fragile and the stylist used bleach for my highlights, it damaged parts of my natural hair, and i was told i'd have to cut it all off and start from scratch. apparently, the bleach damaged my natural hair to the point that parts of it are straight, instead of curly. so, like the ladies said above, if you don't mind cutting it off if things go bad, go for it.
