Should I do a corrective with Mizani?

I relaxed my hair a few days ago and I used Mizani in normal strength. I had it on for about 40 minutes and my hair did not come out straight, it also started to burn my scalp because I had it in for so long. Do you think that if I try to relax again to touchup the new growth that it will get straight or should I just move on?

If the normal Mizani didn't work for you I would try another brand or perhaps use super rather than attempt to do a corrective with the same strength relaxer.

10 weeks should be fine, I agree.

How did your hair not get straight if you left it in almost an hr? Did you not smooth properly? Did you add things to the relaxer?

WOW relaxer on the hair for 40 mn, never will try that one thank God you still have hair. I would recommend maybe that you get the corrective relaxer done by a professional. I mean you may want to make sure that there no damage inside your head or on your scalp and it may be easier to have someone else look into your scalp and all of that. You would not want a major setback just because of a relaxer. I lot my hair once to a bad relaxer, they scare me now.

Mizani is a strong relaxer IMO. It assasinated my nape and hairline, and I only kept it on for 13 minutes.

40 minutes!?!? I'm surprised you still have a SCALP! LOL

LOL. I know it sounds crazy but thank god that I do. I have used Mizani in the past with good results. I am not sure but maybe my hair is becoming resistant to it.

Girl I'm glad you are ok! When I used Mizani BB, it underprocessed me even when I was slow to apply it at about 22 minutes. But yeah to answer your question, I'd say that if you did protein treatments weekly then at least 5-6 weeks. I'd actually have someone else do it to be extra careful, too. Good luck!
