Shikakai Roll call!!!!!

To be honest, It was one of the best shampoos I have ever tried.

I did the amla treatment overnight with a cap. Then in the morning I got in the shower and first wet my hair then lathered the bar in my hands. I glided the suds down my hair shaft then concentrated on the scalp, ect.

The soap just glided on really smooth. I have never experienced that before.

I rinsed and noticed that my hair was clean, but not stripped feeling. Also my curls were more defined. I am a 3c.

I like it.

In the instructions it states to only do it after the oil treatment. So I am guessing that its not like Cream of Nature, ect.

The only problem is that you will have to get a soap dish for it to store it in a dry area.

I purchased the soap the other day. My local Indian Store didn't carry the powder. Also, I bought Alma powder and coconut oil.

Based on your review, I can't wait to try it. In addition to cleansing, it is suppose to promote growth. I'm going to prepoo overnight with coconut oil prior to using it. I may or may not use the alma during this service.

Its a conditioner only when reetha is not added. It becomes a shampoo when you add reetha.

I use it as a shampoo(like it better) . Like stated earlier, I use the bar. The ingredients are shikakai, reetha, methi, henna and amla extracts.

Update: I used shikakai powder in my DC last week, and it was wonderful. My hair felt really smooth, thick, and strong. I like it, and I'm looking forward to henna & indigo.

This is all I needed to see. Our hair love pretty much love the save products. (OT: Love the new avatar pic!)

Update: Sorry, Pinkrazr! I didn't see your post. The cream is da bomb! I love it and so does my hair. I use the cream and the oil for my baggy treatment nightly. Remember to only use a small amount or your hair will feel mushy.

I don't really measure. I just dump some in and mix it up with conditioner and oil. In terms of ratio, I just make sure I'm using mostly Shikakai.
