hey honeisos.... /images/graemlins/wave.gif

Thanks for the compliment....

When it comes to my Crown and Glory, I use only natural organic products and oils (excluding the phytorelaxer that is). Over time, this has definitely made a marked improvement in the condition of my hair. My hair is constantly growing and has incredible length and shine. My moisture-thirsty tresses love the Island Naturals, Swimmers, GPB, and Jojoba/Aloe lines of Aubrey Organics for shampooing and conditioning. Check out this link: http://www.aubrey-organics.com/spec_prods/dry_hair_cat.cfm. Once every two weeks, my hairstylist massages my scalp for 10 minutes, then washes and deep conditions my hair ( my hair is covered with a conditioning cap while I sit under a steamer for 30 mins.) After she rinses the conditioner from my hair, she rinses my hair with AO's island creme rinse to extend the softness of the conditioner and then applies a detangling leave in conditioner by Giovanni with a hint of aloe vera gel or sheamoisture sheabutter leave in before she sets my hair on magnetic rollers. I then sit under a hooded dryer for 1.5 hours to dry my hair. She never uses direct heat on my hair. Every six weeks, my hairstylist takes care to use a clarifying shampoo on my hair to get rid of any product build up followed by a moisturizing protein conditioner (jojoba & aloe) to keep my tresses strong and moisturized. My hairstylist relaxes my hair with phytorelaxer index 2 every four to five months. I lightly trim my ends after I get a relaxer. I oil my scalp and hair once a week with a heavenly mixture of castor, jojoba, olive, rose hip seed, and rosemary oils - paying special attention to my ends.

On a daily basis, my ends are covered by a plastic baggie while marinating in castor and rose hip seed oils (baggie method)…I wear a head wrap every day to keep my hair covered…. I have found that I am able to retain more length because I am manipulating my hair less and my ends are not being exposed to the air…

HTH

Take care.
