Hello ladies quick question....what exactly do butters promote? I know the oils are used for sealing moisture, but I am unsure what the butters do. Epically Shea butter since that is the one that I have TIA

pure shea butter contains alot wax and helps to seal in moisture. i recommend melting it first, if applied to wet hair. or melt it by rubbing it between your hands and apply it to dry hair or to a dry scalp. it's also great to mix in with other products.

i just realized yeaterday that i have a small container of refined (i know no the best...) shea butter from FNWL. i love the moisturizers i already use but i may use it and see how i like it.
