This stuff really seems to soften my hair up tremendously...but would u consider it a moisturizer I can use daily, or is it more like an oi I would use on top of a moisturizer? Im not really sure since it melts down to an oil when warm. But its one of the best things Ive found for moisture.

shea butter is a beautiful thing isn't it? glad it's working good for you.

i wouldn''t suggest using it everyday, you'll get a case of the greasies. i'd use it to seal in moisture and you could probably use it on top of a leave-in conditioner but i don't - it works fine just with the moisture left over from your wash/cond. session.

i wash/condition my hair and as i'm detangling it, i'll apply the shea. the detangling brush makes sure all hair is covered.

a little shea goes a long way.

My favorite is Ojon Revitalizing Mist. I also like rosewater with a few drops of Almond Oil added. Both are moistly water, the primary ingredient for a moisturizer. If you spray with a fine mist sprayer and rub your hands through your hair quickly, it won't cause your hair to revert. I have relaxed hair and do that at least twice a day with no ill affects to my style.

well....i was using elasta qp's H2 but found i was going through it WAY too fast so i just started using plain ole water in the H2's spray bottle LOL.

it seems that whatever the shea butter does to soften is reactivated when you spritz with water - it's weird.

so i just spray then rebraid or retwist and it feels the same way as it did when i first washed it.

i don't know how you style your hair Leslie_C but i do mostly braid/twist outs - very little heat on the regular.
