Shea butter (for consistency) as a base for essential oil blend?

I have a homemade essential oil blend that I concocted, but I want to create a thicker consistency so that I can be sure that I am distributing all over my scalp properly. For some reason, I'm not really liking the consistency of oil on my scalp. What do you ladies think about blending shea butter with the oil for more of a "grease-like" consistency?

I think that would be great! Shea butter does not clog pores.

I have used butter on my scalp (Hemp especially) and it is great.
