Shea butter brands? Which ones?

OK so I sought some 100% shea butter...Bath and Body Works had some for $15 for 3 oz. I tried some on a dry strand of hair and it seemed pretty nice--smooth consistency. I didn't buy it though and decided to go to Whole Foods--it was $20 for a small container so I said forget it!

Went to Pathmark and bought one for $7 and it's incredibly chalky and gross--left little bits of white stuff in my hair (maybe they'll let me return it!)

Can someone recommend a brand preferably sold in a store that is good but NOT quite so expensive....or has anyone tried the B&BW and found it worth the price?

For my body, I like the shea butter from nasabb.com. I get the 1 lb chunk. For my hair, I like shea oil from fromnaturewithlove.com. Pure shea butter is too heavy for my hair.

I use shea from nasabb.com also. I use it for both skin and hair. Its one of the best I have found. My hair dresser used to bring me some FRESH from home (Senegal) and this is the closests to it that I have found....

I purchase mine from an African guy at the flea market. He doesn't sell a 'brand'. He scrapes it right out of the shea nut. This is the best stuff for hair and my body that I have ever purchased.

I just got my order from them today, and I must say that I was really impressed by their products, it is trully Shea Butter, I bought the black soap too...nasabb is highly recommended by me....

thanks for posting this, I want to try shea butter when I'm finally all natural (I'll be cutting in a few months)

I just bought a tub of it from an African guy at a Liquidator sale here. It's so thick! Can I actually use it on my relaxed hair?
