Hi Katseyes,

I'm glad you are experiencing great results with more frequent washing. I've been washing my hair every day with diluted shampoo and my hair is absolutely beautiful. I'm extremely thrilled so far. I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Which shampoo are you diluting? I plan on diluting Creme of Nature. I don't think I will be able to do conditioner washes becasue I have seborrheic dermatitis.

In Cathy Howse's Book, she talks about shampooing your hair every 3 days. She says it keeps it soft and moisturised. I am glad you are seeing success.

Does washing your hair that often dry out the natural oils? I was just wondering because I was thinking about shampooing more than once a week.

I shampoo more than once a week. Usually three times. I also dilute my shampoo. I find my hair stays more moisturized this way - as opposed to drying out the natural oils.

My hair is never healthier than when I wash it a lot.

good shampoos for washing more than 2x's a week:
Cream of Nature, Breakthru, Wheat germ shampoo (dominican shamp)

they all leave my hair soft and conditioned feeling. I've modified my routine so that i only use shampoo 2x's (if that) a month. I c/o wash in between.
I have shampooed 2x's a week before (for a lobg strectch, maybe 2 months) and never experienced dryness from it as i use gentle shampoos.

How to dilute???

How do you guys dilute your shampoos? Do you use 2 parts shampoo to 1 part water or 50/50? Also, do you keep the diluted shampoo in a separate container? I know this sounds like a silly question, but I'm just wondering the best way to do this. Diluting shampoo also sounds like a good way to save some $$$$$$$$$

Re: How to dilute???

I dilute any shampoo that I use since doing frequent washes. I use equal parts of shampoo and water. I've been washing my hair everyday, and it's worked well so far.

I shampoo after my workouts(3 times a week) I rinse the other days. I've beendoing this for over a year now. I have no problems with shedding....only if I get lazy and go 3 days before shampooing or rinsing...then I get some shedding...

Thanks for your remarks!
Daviine, I use Cream of nature as well, and Mamamia, I have no dry problem as I moisturize after each shampoo. I also have a hot oil treatment once a week!
