Shampoo for itchy scalp?

Hello,
my boyfriend is constantly patting his head or scratching his scalp lol. Does anyone have any recomendations for a shampoo or anything for an itchy scalp? thanksss

I've read somewhere that the Giovanni Tea Tree Tingle shampoo was very soothing or even the tea tree shampoo from Trader Joe's.

Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat. I love it! Gonna wash my hair later with it. Good for the itchies.

Jason Tea Tree Oil Shampoo has worked for me.

Does he know why his scalp is itching? Psoriasis? Dandruff?

Peppermint shampoos also work well for itch relief. Very important after any shampoo to always rinse, rinse, rinse out all shampoo which may be leaving residue on his scalp.

Nope, he doesnt know the cause but it doesnt seem to be dandruff. Im going to look up all the shampoos listed, thankss

maybe his skin is reacting to the sulfates (mine does)
try a sulfate free shampoo and the occasional use of oil on his scalp
