Okay ladies please chime in asap.. I purchased some bss hair and it is so shiney and stiff. I have not installed it yet. I need it to be yaky to resemble 4b hair as much as possible any suggestions?

You can usually open it in the store with the clerk and look at it before you buy. Do they allow you to return? I remember buying the wrong color 1 instead of 1B and they let me return it, is this an option?

I don't know, I know I have read some ladies washing the weave and getting better results, but washing it doesn't seem like it would solve the issue of it being so shiny. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful maybe someone will chime in soon.

usually a shininess issue is due to the hair being not coarse enough for your hair type. Most of the BSS hair will be something that is chinese remy and that will not blend well due to this. really the best thing you could do is exchange, if not then i am really not sure what do to ..

hmm, I know for synthetic hair people sometimes soak the hair in fabric softener or apple cider vinegar. You can also add a little bit of baby powder to the dry hair and then shake the excess hair. Some hair will lose its shine after you have worn it for a while.
