Severly Underprocessed, wait two weeks, relax again????

Just wanted to thank everyone that tried to help I really appreciate it. I did however decide to go and get my hair relaxed professionally on 10/25/07, it was breaking like crazy and i couldn't deal anymore. lol I waited 3 weeks and 3 days, my stylist said that was long enough and boy am I glad I did. She got it soooooo straight!

My hair was severely underprocessed in May 07. I wore a weave from June - Sept. 07 and when I relaxed the NG in Sept 07 there was a demarcation line. I went backwards and protected the newly relaxed hair and relaxed the old hair for a timed period of 4 or 5 minutes. I had slight breakage right after the corrective, but I did henna a week later and the breakage stopped. I let a hair dresser give me a corrective b4 and she went overboard. It looked good for a minute, but it made a mes of my hair and it eventually all fell out.

My hair is extremely coarse and in her words, the relaxer needed to "marinade" so she left it on the previously relaxed sections too long. I have had problems throughout my life w/ hairdressers not being able to find the balance when taking care of my hair, thus my obsession w/ learning to care for my own hair.

I don't think the shampoo girls were completely rinsing my edges or the neutralizer was watered down, because my hair broke off all around the edges. Within a few months she gave me a second corrective relaxer. Shortly thereafter, my hair looked like someone had ran a razor blade down the length. My hair was just stripped and I had no edges, so I really couldn't hide it w/ a new style.

She did my roommate's hair and the hair of several girls at my law school and all of them had hair that was well taken care of and nice, so I trusted her going in.
