setting my hair

Im not exactly sure if I know what setting is, I mean one day its this way and the next its another way....please help me

When I refer to 'setting my hair' I mean getting my hair set on rollers.

Normally I use it in terms of setting my hair also... but it can also be used in what you do to your hair so it'll dry a certain way. For instance I also do finger twists and I consider that setting my hair so it'll dry in spirals.
