I was wondering about using setting lotion, I've never used it before.

Does it leave your hard or harder than it usually is? Exactly what are the results of using it?

Don't over do it. Some are more concentrated than others. If when you try some and that is the case just dilute it.

Ive mentioned this on several posts.
Pantene relaxed & natural wrap/set lotion is awesome, just use it as it is, no need to dilute. It dries into a soft set, and gives lots of body.I know you'll like it.

I used to use the blue liquid Ultra Sheen Setting lotion. But since I have started taking care of my hair, I have found setting lotion aggravating and unnecessary.

I use Lottabody and I dilute it. If you don't dilute it and use too much, your hair will be hard. However, I like to use setting lotion for my roller sets and Doobie wraps because it holds the curl longer.

Pantene setting lotion is good, contains jojoba and coconut oils and does not leave a crisp set. I prefer to use Perm Repair setting lotion when I just have to have a good curl definition. It can be used on wet hair and sparingly on the ends of dry hair when doing a dry set. It does not make your hair "hard" and actually contains water and glycerin with no harsh alcohols. It is cheap, around $2 and can be found in most drugstores or bss. I have used it on wet and dry hair for years without incidence.

As far as ingredients, you can't ask for better, imo.
Water, peg-75 lanolin, polyquat-11, glycerin, hydrolyzed collagen, polysorbate20, DMDM hydantoin, diazolidinyl urea, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothizolinone.

You can't go wrong if you choose the Pantene or Perm Repair.

OH yea pantene is awesome. I didn't see what the big deal was the first time I used it. But now I'm never switching to any other setting lotion. Not only does it provide hold (the natural kind that I and my hair like), but it also detangles hair very well and makes it silky when wet. Great stuff!
