Seriously, I couldn't take it another day!!!

I made it 27 weeks without a touch up. It wasn't on purpose but after 8 weeks I was like, ummm not this week, then 12 weeks past; same thing and so on. But when I woke up one morning after letting my hair air dry as I normally do and couldn't go to work, I knew it was time....








Wheww, I knew it was something serious when I couldn't get my wide tooth comb through my hair, I couldn't take it anymore.

I had been doing a rollerset and flat ironing my roots....






I called my cousin who's a beautician and told her I was throwing in my cards, I wanted a perm!





I was so excited to reunit with the creamy crack, it never burned so good. Actually it didn't burn at all. I used the kiddie perm PCJ.

She suggested I consider a texlax, but I was like na make me bone straight, lol! I commend all of you naturals out there being natural is no joke!







I'm also experiencing with WEN, I like it thus far!





I came home and rolled up!




I'm now a much happier camper! My edges haven't laid this flat since......












What did I learn from during this 27 week stretch.....everything is for everybody! It was fun while it last and I am very proud of myself for going this long!!

Wheww, It's nice to be able to feel my scalp again!!!

U had a good amount of growth there. Never air dry like that cause you will look like gossamer from that bugs bunny cartoon. You gotta tie that baby down then air dry lol

Your hair looks great. I believe there is a such thing as scab hair. That extra coarse wiry hair that grows out a few months post relaxer is not like the hair that you have when fully natural. I dont have any issues getting a comb through my hair.

Very pretty OP! I loved your rollerset, the curls were v. nice, I'll try to get some of those for myself.
I'm at 8 weeks post (but 3 of my previous relaxers were seriously underprocessed so I have a lot of newgrowth) but I want to make it to at least 12 weeks.
