...I need your help.

I'm a natural who stopped relaxing due to scalp irritation and sheer curiosity. But Sadly I think I'm over it now... and I wish to relax.
I wear my hair mostly straight anyways and I figure if I wanna go natural again I can always do that ( it really only took 2 yrs).

However
, I only want to do this is there is a way for me to avoid my scalp feeling like it's on fire every 4 months!!!

So Ladies....please help me out with any suggestions...brands, lye/no lye. etc.

Thanks in advance:wave:

I use a no-lye, gentle treatment, mild relaxer by Johson & Co. I dont ever experience burning or anything of the like, and the relaxer gets my hair silky and straight.

However, I dont know where you would find this particular relaxer.... Ive only seen it at the Dominican salon that I frequent. I dont think its the relaxer brand per se, but more the fact that it is mild and no-lye.......

Affirms Sensitive Scalp no lye does not burn at all.

I like ORS Olive Oil (Normal) it's not a "sensitive scalp" relaxer, but it is one of the few relaxers that don't burn or irritate my scalp. HtH

I like Mazani Sensitive Scalp Rhelaxer. I haven't experienced any burning or scalp irritations since using this.

I use Affirm sensitive scalp and I love it because I no longer experience the DRY TIGHT scalp that I use to get from other relaxers..:)

....I'm guessing Affirm is the way to go....

bumping for more input...

My scalp is extra sensitive and the only relaxer that doesn't burn is phyto index 1.

phyto index 2 did not burn at all!! i scratched and sweated in my scalp before and it STILL did not burn. And i have a very sensitive scalp. hth

I have sensitive scalp and ORS Olive Oil Relaxer never burns my scalp. I use the normal formula.

My scalp is super sensitive, and when I was relaxed I loved Soft & Beautiful Botanicals (No-Lye). It is made for sensitive scalp.
