although I don't wear it out in public (have never had a chance to, really). There are two combs that attach 1. to the front of your hair and 2. to the back of your hair. I just push my hair back and put in a plait, tuck the plait, and then I insert the combs of the piece. It helps to have your hair as flat as possible, so that you don't stretch the crap out of the hairpiece. But then again, I just have a big head.
Karonica how do you take care of these things, and weaves etc. Whenever I add fake hair it looks good the forst day but after that ....... I have absolutely no hair skills
For synthetic hair, I have no clue. I'll be sewing in a synthetic weave next week, so I guess I'll be learning soon. As for the instant weave, you fill a basin with water, wet the piece and apply shampoo on the inside of the cap, gently massage in the shampoo in to cleanse it, swish it clean in the water, towel blot it, and allow it to dry without manipulation. In one of their newsletters, Sensationnel explained it much more clearer.
Thanks Karonica, what I meant though was that once it is one my head it looks like s**t. But I see girls with all kind of ponytails weaves etc that look good. So I am like what am I doing wrong.
Do you sleep in satin bonnets? They're really good when it comes to keeping your style fresh. You don't brush synthetic hair, do you? It's not good to.
Cutebajangirl, I found this link. I hope that it helps answer some of your questions as far as weave maintenance. I'm about to put a weave in so I'm searching for as much info as I can.
I wore it to work a few weeks ago. The only thing is I bought it in black, and I'm not really comfortable with that haircolor. But I did get a lot of stares on the train (and not the WTF? types).
I saw the custom weave thing on the site, but I couldn't bring up the page because I guess they were still creating it. I have to go back and check.
Hi
I have the 1B color (off black) with the strawberry blonde streaks...try that one. It's a little spicier
Let me know what you think about the custom weave. Yes, that part of the site is up and running now.
Also, if I find something else comparable, I will let you know.
Now, this may sound as stupid as building a house with tacks, but I hope you will show mercy to me. What is instant weave? Although I use hair to extend my braids, which is obvious from my pictures, I have never used weave. Can you tell what it is and how it works? Thanks so much, in advance.
I don't know if Sensationnel sells them online, I doubt it, but go to www.sensationnel.com and hit the CONTACT US button. They should be able to tell you who sells it in your area.
P.S. How do I get to add the images directly within the body of my email? I am having the hardest time trying to show people the exact hairstyle I am talking about. If you go to the site, it's style number HZ 7006. I used to wear it in a light brown with blond highlights. I got lots of compliments on it. I don't know how to add it to the post!
