Semi-permanent color?

Which have you had the best reults with? I have been using Jazzing for years and would like to try something new. Also, how often can they be applied? For some reason the Jazzing doesn't take well to my hair anymore and it washes out to fast.

I use jazzings faithfully, in fact I just used it today. But my friend has very beautiful hair and she uses "Bijen" or "Bigen" I'm not sure of the spelling. But her results were marvelous and almost a month later, hasnt faded yet! Thats more than what I can say with my Jazzings, but I'm pretty sure I can blame that on the fact that I'm washing my hair so often.

Thanks for the info. I have seen that Bigen stuff in the store but wasn't sure if it's semi-permanent. Jazzings used to stay in my hair and take so much better. I don't know if they've changed it or it's my hair but the last time I went to a salon, it lasted a lot longer than when I do it.

Did they do it immediately following a relaxer? I know my hair takes color alot better right after a relaxer because the hair cuticles are already raised from the high pH of the relaxer; and it holds onto it alot longer.:D

yes I believe it was after a relaxer but I have done them after relaxing myself also. Maybe I rinse too much. I also used to roller set every week and it lasted longer. I really wish I could color my hair permanently but then I'd probably be bald. I process them with heat the just don't seem to come out as vibrant as they used to. Maybe I'll have to get it done at the salon.

I use Wella Demi Color Charms. I always use one right after I relax without heat. The color lasts for quite a long time.

this one has a 2:1 ratio; two ounces of the activator to one ounce of color. I also always use a deep conditioner after I rinse it out which seems help keep my hair from being too dry, then I final rinse with Porosity Control Conditioner or Nexxus Ensure.

I get it at Sally's and its quite reasonable (they also have the measuring cups there too which definitly help)

Only one thing, make sure you wear gloves because this stuff WILL stain your fingernails (though not your hands...its very strange)

Thanks. I may try this next time. Is your hair relaxed? BTW, I noticed that you're from Natick, Ma. I grew up un Brookline.

Only the best for my hair, I used Sebastion Colourshines once when I wore my hair pressed a few years ago and nothing bad (i.e. dryness, breakage) happened.
My personal favorite now is Stargazer, its hard to find in the States sometimes since its made in the UK, but it's sooo nice. No peroxide or ammonia, lasts long, doesn't stain or bleed, goes on bright and creamy, has lots of off beat shades, feels like putting a light conditione on the hair and gives a beautiful gloss.
My other favorite is good old Adore in the white bottle. Alot of ladies on this board recommend it since it has no alcohol, peroxide, or ammonia. It has a gel like consistency so it's not as concentrated as Stargazer but still gives a nice coverage, Black Velvet is the blackest black I've ever used if you like that look. Its like a protein treatment though, so if your hair can't handle protein, steer clear and try something else.
