Self Trimmers - Help Needed!

I like Feye's ponytail trimming method and it works well generally. However, I need a method of trimming my hair to incorporate my layers. Would it make sense to make 2 ponytails instead of one? Also, how do you go about trimming when the front is shorter than the back?

I believe there is a member here named Carly who had directions for a way to trim. Does anyone have those?

I really hope someone answers this question because I'd like to know too. I've posted a couple of times on this same topic, but don't really remember getting any responses....

Anyone? I know there's a least a couple of ladies with layers who self trim!
