I use "velcro" rollers that look just like these. I've never seen this "ionic" version before. I wonder what the ceramic ion does. Hmmmm... It would be great if it helped to speed up the drying, because it takes 3 hours to dry my hair under a bonnet and overnight+ to airdry!

Anyway, I have to use endpapers with the velcro rollers because they really do grip your hair and I don't want to damage my ends. Be sure to unroll them gently once your hair is dry or these things WILL rip your hair out! They.give really nice sexy curls though!!

Please let me know how you like them!

I'm scared of roller like these. I can just see my hair stuck to them when I take them out. I've never thought of endpaper, though.

I bought these as well when I first starting trying to rollerset. So I thought these would be the answer....Bad idea. They tangled in my hair so bad and as you can imagine my was a poofy, frizzy mess by the time I finally did get them out of my head. But I really think you should give magnetic rollers another try, you may just need a little coaching on your technique. I used to think I couldn't do it either, but after researching online and talking to a couple other ladies that rollerset, I've been getting better and better. Check Out Macheriamour's Website she has a great tutorial with pics on rollersetting. HTH http://healthytextures.typepad.com/my_journey_to_healthy_hai/2007/05/rollersetting_t.html

Well my gut says "This is just wrong". I once had a silk doo rag that closed with velcro in the back and one day it was a "beeotch" to get out. The nape (kitchen) area is sacred so I was not happy to see it compromised in any way.
On the other hand the price does not seem like to much of a risk to get one pack and do a test roll with one roller.
I am so curious about this whole Ionic catch phrase that all the companies are using now. I had a conversation about it with my Sally's buddy and we both seem to thinks it's just great marketing (just like Fat Free was the hype).
Have you tried wire mesh rollers (some ladies swear by it) or pin curling, carussos (even though you have to use some caution with carrussos too)?
