I have a prob. I bought the Sedu 1.5" based on the rave reviews on here as well as their website. I am so not impressed and poor me I've let my 30 day return period pass me up. It's just not straightening my hair they way it should. I don't get the silky shiny hair that I get from my old 70dollar titanium jilbere. I'm so disappointed. I've been using it on a high setting of atleast 360 degrees. Last night I tried it on 380. I'm afraid to go any higher. Any suggestions that you ladies can give me will be so much appreciated. BTW, I'm a 3c/4a. Thanks!:wallbash:

I have nothing of interest to offer because I use my Sedu approximately twice a year and I use it on 450 degrees. Hair is silky straight.

Please say it ain't so.
I was going to purchase a Sedu when I did my BC, even though my Solia works perfectly fine. After reading all of the reviews on here and on folica, I had my heart set. I hope someone will chime in with some suggestions.

I've had mine for over a year now and it gets my hair straight. My hair is 4 a/b relaxed and I use it on 360 sometimes 380. Maybe try ironing smaller sections at a slower pace to see if that helps.

I use it on maximum and I have it in the one inch It just works best for me that way. Im a natural 3b and it gets it silky smooth. I dont recommend necessarily using it that high though. Try calling Folica ( if thats where you got it) and asking for an exception because you missed the 30 days if its not like a year gone by....

I have had it for 2 years now and it works great. it made my natural hair straight at 410, now my telaxed hair gets straight at 360. My daughter's natural 4b hair gets straight at 380. I love it

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I guess I will try it on a bit higher setting. I have never had to go that high before and it made me a bit intimidated. Also I am transitioning. so I am 6 mos post. But my old one will still straighten. Thanks 4 the suggestions. I will try smaller sections although that beats out the idea that having such an iron would make my straightening time go faster. Also I will call folica and see if they can help. BTW, what settings are you using your sedu's on & hair type? Thx, Ladies!:drunk:
