Sedu Diamond Revolution Review

I neither hate or love my new flatiron :sigh:

The Diamond is much lighter than the regular revolution and is sparkly. However, it did not seem to get my hair as straight as the revolution. This may be my fault since i usually put my heat protectant on right before I flatiron. For this trial, I put the the heat protectant on and then went to sleep...and then flatironed the next morning. My hair got straight, but had more body than usual. The plates on the diamond don't seem as smooth as those on the revolution.

I usually flatiron at 340 degrees but 340 on the Diamond didn't feel as hot as it is on the regular revolution. I sometimes caught my ear with the revolution, but the diamond is much cooler on the outside.

Oh and another thing, I had to be mindful how I held the diamond as my hand would get lightly pinched because I held it back near the cord (again, my fault).

I really like the digital function and auto shut off. I also like that it is lighter. My hair smells fresher with this routine and it's soft.

I plan on updating again when I wash in another week or so.

Thank you for the thorough review! So, it sounds like you wouldn't buy it again, if you had the option. Also, it looks like you only have six heat settings, you can't make it 350 degrees etc.?

Thank you so much for tagging me. This was a nice review. You hair does look beautiful. Based on your review I think I won't be in a rush to upgrade from my sedu revolution. Do you have a picture of your hair after using the revolution? Which result do you prefer overall?

So I used it a couple of more times and I looooove it. It seems to be a tad bit easier on the hair than the regular revolution. Also, I have to be mindful of my hand placement because it gets clamped by the part that's near the cord.

I colored, washed/conditioned, rollerset and then flat ironed yesterday. Here's how it looks today:

Despite getting my hair burned straight at the Dominicans two weeks ago, my hair is bouncy, thick and strong. I probably should have waited to color but ehhh. I stumbled onto a box at my local bss while picking up castor oil so I figured why not.

I used shea moisture hair color system (medium chestnut brown) and I love it. My whites are well covered and it evened out the parts that I got dyed and the sun damage. I have learned that I am NOT naturally goldie (more like brownie that lightens after pro longed sun exposure) like I believed when I was relaxed. I always believed that the relaxer contributed to my hair color being so light...now I know for certain
