I just got my colourshine. I am planning on using it tonight. I got the clear rinse. I am not into colors.

How often do you reapply your rinse?

I get mine with every relaxer so it's usually every 4-6 months.

I just got brown and I plan to apply every month...I relax every two month. I have black hair and I was afraid to get the brown, but the guy in the salon told me the brown will make my hair dark and shiny since my hair is dark already. I wanted to stay dark

This is the first time i've applied the rinse but i don't plan to get it re-colored until maybe 2months. It's going on 5 weeks and the color is still there, the red isn't as intense but it still is noticeable. I have the cinnamoin color.

Question I never heard of Sebastians Colourshines before until this site. SO Im assuming its a rinse but whats the point of getting a clear rinse if it has no color?? What does it do, condition the hair?? Somebody please fill me in.

I chose clear because I want the shine that a rinse gives!

Can I ask those who use clear colourshines after relaxer (same day).

Do you use heat?

I am doing this on Saturday but don't know if I should use heat after a relaxer or just let it sit with shower cap.

Sorry to hi-jack ;)

No I don't. My dominican stylist REFUSED to use heat the first time I had colourshines done and when I asked she said that the cuticles are already wide open from the relaxer and the hair is extremely fragile and therefore the colourshines will penetrate just fine without heat. If using without relaxer, you need the heat to force the cuticles open for the product to penetrate. I fell in LOVE with her for refusing to use heat! Anyway, she puts a plastic cap on and I chill without heat for the required time -- my hair is blinging gleaming each time . . .

I thought I read somewhere not to use heat after a relaxer but I was not sure....

That's really interesting, because my stylist, who is also dominican insists on using heat. Umm...what city are you located in? I may have to check out your stylist

I bought mine from beauty supply store. Someone here has a link to an online store that sells colourshines, there is a store on ebay that sells them also.
