My good buddy and reliable LHCF poster supergirl did a very informative thread a few years ago I believe. She eats sea veggies on the regular but do a search and a big thread should pop up. I tried it but I chickened out..I think its called Japanese hair secrets but I'm not too sure:drunk:

Its suppose to help with hair growth, i've done kelp pills before and it does help get a growth spurt but I wasnt able to sustain it. When I was doing research about a year ago I found that to be true for many; it grows faster for a little bit then back to normal. I just bought some liquid kelp from whole foods that I will try again to see if I get my spurt.

I know that seaweed has good mucilage so it should be great for detangling. Seaweed also is a great source of protein.

I bought the seaweed that they sold in the supermarket for drinking , boiled it up and used it on my hair. It does have good mucilage properties but I really didn't see a great difference in the health or even the strength of my hair afterwards. I did it about 3 times and the best I can say is that it was a good detangler but not much else came from it...

The reason I'm asking is, becuase someone at work gave dried seaweed to snack and I really like it. I've been eating it all week and I figured there must be some benefits to eating seaweed. We'll have to see. I'm going to by some more tomorrow.

Bumping

I bought nori sheets tonight and all I can say is that they're very tasty but I can't eat alot in one sitting. Something about the fishy after taste. They cost like $1.50 per pack and there are 10 sheets in the pack. I cut up 2 sheets and I'm snacking on them right now. It's called Yaki Sushi Nori Sushihane. Oh and it's roasted.

Just read a hair book it had an excerpt about boiling seaweed, letting it cool, rinse your hair and wash out the next day. May try boiling and using the water with my ayurvedic paste to combate dryness. Off to start a new thread.
