I have chemical burns from a relaxer at a salon. I have scabs All over my head. Should I buy some seabreeze and wash with it now? Or is too late to use seabreeze?

I haven't been relaxed for a long time but that sounds like a terrible idea...wouldn't it burn even more? idk, something like aloe vera juice or another all natural remedy sounds better.

This reminds me of the thread where a hairdresser told a girl to put listerine on her head while relaxing.

neosporin or tea tree oil if you have it

I agree manter ... my scalp cringed at the thought of putting seabreeze on a relaxer burn --- that would sting to heck and back.

BTW Ive never heard about using seabreeze on a relaxer burn:ohwell:

My stylist would use diluted Sea Breeze after a relaxer if I burned. It hurt like heck, but only for about 30 seconds and I would not have scabs. I know it sounds horrible, but it works. If it hasn't been too long it may still work for you. I just don't think I could do it to myself.

Ouch! I'd go with the tea tree oil.. its been years since Ive had a relaxer burn but I know tea tree oil helps tremendously with scalp sores and abrasions

I don't get them anymore but I used to put Shea butter on them & don't manipulate hair surrounding it at all. I applied daily until it softened up then I would shampoo with a neutralizing shampoo, condition with roux porosity control & it's back to normal without losing hair. Please don't pick at them.

Thanks ladies! I went back to the salon and brought my ORS aloe shampoo and replenishing paks. First they gave me a hot oil treatment. Then They washed my hair and the scabs came off. I'm sitting here hoping they don't think I'm paying for this!!! Lmao. But thanks for your help!

Yes. I was thinking Please don't let this lady put Seabreeze on her scabby scalp.:nono:
Sounds like pain beyond belief.
When I was relaxed I always had my Seabreeze rinse immediately following the shampoo after relaxing.

Yeah next time I will have it on deck after the relaxer, but I think the stylist put a super in my hair and that's how they happened. But the scabs are gone. My hair looks good! She straightened it but I put it right back in a bun. :) I'm enjoying this HJ! I see results in health already!

I always use PM Tea Tree shampoo immediately following neutralizing. It stops any burn, scabs and that tight scalp feeling you get right after a relaxer.
