Scissors-Does The Brand really matter? What kind do you have?

Can we discuss shears for hair care:

Does it matter what scissors one uses to trim or cut the hair? How sharp are they supposed to be? Which brands do you all use? What harm would cheapies or not so sharpies do on the strand?

Am I destroying my hair by using a $10 pair I got from Sallys?

No, I don't think so as long as you use them only for trimming hair and nothing else, it should be fine. I use the cheap $10 ones too. BTW your avatar pic looks like you're doing well with them
