Scalp treatments using baking soda.....

Has anyone ever heard of using baking soda as a scalp treatment? I hear it helps the hair grow too.

I was looking at a scalp scrub by the Organic Root Stimulator company. You must add baking soda to their mixture as a scalp cleanser. http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=304659&navAction=jump&navCount=1&skuid=sku383148&id=prod383147

I didnt buy it but I would definitely be interested in knowing whether or not anybody else here had any experience with this product.

I actually mix baking soda in my shampoo for a clarifier. I scrub my scalp with it on. (I also use baking soda for a ton of other stuff, too!)

You know, I think I did read that some people add this to their stuff to clarify. So it doesn't help with growth?
