Scalp hurting at edges!!!

I've discovered a sore/tender spot at my edges (which just happens to be thinnning. The right side appears to be growing back somewhat, but the left is staying the same. Could the fact that my scalp is tender in that spot be related to the thinning? If so, what can I apply to heal my scalp?

I don't quite understand...when did you notice your scalp was tender in that spot? Did you have any sort of trauma to the head...burns?

No I have not had any burns in that area. That's why i don't understand. I don't even pull my hair back tightly.

I noticed that my scalp is tender right at the very front hairline in the center only. Really weird. Its been this way off and on. I wonder what that's about. Could it be that I've been tying my scarf too tight? Goodness! That scarf thing can be a hinderance as well as a help.
