I am deepely saddened to report to you that my hair is falling out, everytime I comb so much hair is coming out. This has beening happening since October .

At first I thought I was just shedding but it's alot that comes out. I am very worried that pretty soon I will not have any hair left. This morning I woke up and used henna, washed it with garlic shampoo and I am under the dryer with a rollerset.

Someone please help! I am so sad

I NEED HELP, I donot know my har twin on here but if you are please chime in.

Have you been under any stress lately? When is the last time you had a check up by a doctor? Has your diet changed? Did you introduce any new products or supplements prior to October? Also, do the hairs have white bulbs (indication of shedding) versus breaking/falling out of hairs?

I have been stressing out , but the hair coming out its reallt bad. I do not think I have white bulbs, how long does shedding last?

Bumping for more answers...also, I co-sign w/ the advice of checking with a doctor to rule out any stress/medical conditions.

I hope this is something that discontinues really soon. And that you get back the hair you've lost and more.Be strong best wishes to you.

I hope that you find your answer soon. A trichologist (a doctor that specializes in hair issues) might help. And your hair may come back stronger and more luscious :rosebud:

Thanks ladies for you words of encouragement, I will see if my insurance covers a trichologist. I will keep you posted

Stress can definitely cause hair to fall out. When I was studying for the bar exam, I was super stressed and my hair was breaking badly. Every morning I saw hairs on my pillow and I developed a bald spot in the center of my head. It never happened before and hasn't happened since. My hair bounced back after the exam was over and has been healthy ever since.

I agree that you should see a doctor to rule out any medical issues.

Girl let me tell you...don't delay, go and seek medical help. I'm not trying to scare you or anything, but if it is coming out in clumps and you know that you've done all that you can do, then seek the advice of a doctor.

I'm sorry that that's all that I can add, but I've been where you are and I went to a Dr. and found out that I had an underlying medical condition.

@ Kitkat, girl I had breakage along my edges when I was studying for the bar.....I shudder at the thought. I'm still doing damage control 5 months later...

Thanks again ladies. I will get on this tommorrow.

I just washed my hair yesterday a lot of hair came out. For the most part hair comes out when its close to wash time which is really odd. Knock on wood I have not seen any bald spots yet.

Naturefree I am going through the same thing, rather thinning edges. Try and stop worrying, somewhat. I have been worrying for months over EVERYTHING and my hair is not feeling it.

I would continue with your garlic regimen, I would also TRY to stop stressing and I would visit a medical specialist to have your scalp examined.

I am actually visiting a dermatalogist in 2 weeks that specializes in African American skin. I am praying that she can help me with my hair, but something tells me she is just going to tell me to stop worrying, relax and it will come back. I also have a little peach fuzz where I was thinning/balding from evening massages with rosemary oil.

I hope this helps. I realized although I worry about everything I had to say "Linzz, *** it or you will be bald!" It has helped somewhat with the way I deal with stress.

Hugs,

Linzz
