You can go to your local fabric store and buy some material. That's what I did. They may have some remnants, which will be cheaper than the material on the roll. Just have someone roll it out and cut it off where you see fit. I think that you can even get it from Wal-Mart as they have a fabric department too. HTH

I bought my satin scarves from Wal-Mart and Sally's. The scarf from Wal-Mart actually fits your head and it's about $1.

WOW..these are so cheap..I thought for sure I was gonna have to fork out like 20 bucks for one.. and then I wouldn't be getting one for a while.. now I can get one next week..:) Thanks girls!! :D

I get my silk scarves from tenderheaded.com too. One of these days I'm going to make my own silk scarves though.

Hey RushGirl,

I got my (100%) silk scarf from Target for less than $10. Make sure you try to get a silk scarf instead of a satin scarf. I have both, a satin scarf and a silk scarf. I got my satin scarf from a beauty supply store but I prefer wearing the silk scarf over the satin one. I t does a better job for my hair in terms of moisture, protecting my hair and also it stays on my head for a longer time throughout the night.

You could also try the fabric store and see if you get a better deal.

I agree. I like silk better because it stays put through out the night and holds in moisture much more.

You don't have to use pure silk, any silk like material will do. As long as the mix does not contain cotton. Another idea is to check out stores selling fabrics, they usually have a remnants baskets with pieces of fabric at very low prices, which can be used as head scarves.

I'm just the opposite. I used silk scarves for years until about 2 months ago when I bought a Cristina Satin Nites Extra-Long Satin Scarf from Sally's. My hair seems to stay more moisturized with the satin over the silk. This one can slip off though.

Here's another idea to get an authentic silk scarf for cheap. Try your local resale/thrift store (Goodwill, Sal Army). I just purchased 2 silk scarves with the 100% silk mfg tag on it for $2. I'm sure if you find one it would be in the range of $1-$4 max. HTH

THanks everyone..I never knew that there would be so many options that were soooooooooo inexpensive.. I can't wait to get one!!

Since you can find them so reasonably you should try a satin one and a silk one to see which you like better or the same even. :)
I'll definitely do that!!! Good idea.. Thanks girl!!:)
