My old generic Chi died and I purchased a new one (they are on sale) but do you know that sucka worked one time. Thinking it was just a fluke, I exchanged for another one and guess what....that one only worked one time. Hmmm....that's probably why they are on sale, this batch doesn't work well. Now, I need a new ceramic, a good one. That generic chi made my hair so shiny and straight any suggestions.....please and thank you.

i own the generic CHI from Sally's... i don't straighten my hair often so my sis uses it most of the time (like every week) and it's still in top-notch working condition. so... i dunno what's up with the ones you're getting... :perplexed

maybe you could try buying one from a different Sally's? maybe it's just that store that has a bunch of flukes...

in any case, best of luck to ya!

*wanted to add that i bought mine when it was on sale too... but that was back in December.

They're on sale by me too. I wondering if they did as good a job as the real thing. I may break down and buy one, just to see. But I think I'll wait til the sale batch is gone.

The colored ones will be on sale at Sally's Fri, Sat and Sun for $49.99 plus I got a 10% off my enitre order via email. Just an FYI.... I have never tried one but may for $49.99 plus 10% off.
