Sally\'s Card

How come I can't get one??

They always ask me if I have one at the register. When I say no, but I'm interested in getting one, they say sorry you have to be a licenced professional or something like that.

Re: Sally\'s Card

I have heard this from other people. But I was able to get one with ease. I just paid 5 dollars and filled out this sheet and thats it. Thats weird..

Re: Sally\'s Card

Ya know, Im not even sure if there is set discount each time. It tells me on the receipt how much I saved. Im looking at my card now and it says that I'm a "Beauty Club Member", maybe there are different cards, I dunno. One example I can give is that one time I bought LUST which is normally 8 dollars and I ended up paying 5 for it..

Re: Sally\'s Card

One of the ladies who works at Sallys gave me one back in November. She said I was one of her favorite cutomers and that since I came in so much, I deserved a card.

I appreciated it because it definitely saves me money whether stuff is on sale or not.

I don't think you have to be licensed to have one. My card says: "All prices in our stores are coded. You will be able to purchase at the coded price upon presentation of this card. Some chemical products restricted to licensed professionals. Present this card when checking out. The coded price reads as per example below.

SALLY PRICE 3.69 each GROUP DISCOUNT PRICE 2.99 each."

Re: Sally\'s Card

They recently changed the rules and anyone can get it for 5.00. IF you have any problem getting it, you may want to contact Sally's via the website or tell the people that work in the Sally's to contact "headquarters" or whatever they call it. It may just take a while for it to filter down to all of the stores. I think it's 10% off..but FYI, you get the same discount with a Military ID.

Re: Sally\'s Card

I also think there may be different color cards. I have a green one, and last time I went to Sally's, the cashier said, "Oh, you have a green card."

Re: Sally\'s Card

It's a different card. That one is a cust. discount card, the one for license professionals is for Beauticians and you have you show your license in order to get it.

It is a much more substantial discount as well as a charge account. My stylist let me use it once to pick up something.

Re: Sally\'s Card

I have a green one also which I purchased at the store. I was told that you may be able to get one online for free. This may only be for licensed professionals though.

Re: Sally\'s Card

Hi.

allandra told me about this. The discount actually varies from one product to another. the last digits on the code on the pricing label tells you how much the product is with the sally's card. ex: my gallon sized conditioner would cost 5.99 instead of 8.99 if i had the sally's card.

i think that is cool that they are now giving them out for 5 dollars.

also, if u are a Military employee, or a Union member (i.e. afl-cio) u can get the same discount

hey! i should make my mommie pay for my hair stuff since she is a teacher and gets the Union discount!!!!!

Just to add to Anky's statement, it also applies to military dependents too so if you have the orangish Dependent Card, you're eligible for the discount as well.

Re: Sally\'s Card

I got one for free...the girl just gave me one. I have the green one as well.

Yup, I always got a discount before b/c I am a military dependent!

Re: Sally\'s Card

I got one too about two weeks ago for 5 dollars. Yall are right. Non beauticians have one card, beauticians have another. I'm just glad to finally get a discount at one of my favorite stores. 5 dollars isn't bad for 10% off. I know other stores, in fact I work for one that sells cards 10 dollars and up for a 10% discount.

Re: Sally\'s Card

That's funny because I'm not a licensed professional, and they asked me if I wanted one (last year some time). I said yes, and they gave me one. It was FREE.

So how much of a discount do you receive with the card pink flower, 10%?

Each item has a 'set' amount. There's usually a code above the 'regular' price. Something like this for instance:

(regular price listed on item) $4.79
(coded discount) 0000012000349 <-- The discounted price here would be $3.49.

Re: Sally\'s Card

The green customer discount cards aren't new. I've had one now for about three years, and I have to renew it every year when the expiration date comes up. It has saved me tons of money over the years since I'm a really bad PJ.

Re: Sally\'s Card

Years ago, and I do mean years ago, likke 15 or so, you could get a Sally's card if you were a college student. And it was free. I got one back then. Of course, I have lost it by now. I think I'll trot in there and get one. I always looked at the discount price and the regular price and wished I had a card but since I was no longer a student, I thought I couldn't get one.

Thanks, ladies.

Re: Sally\'s Card

I was in Sally's today and asked about the $5 card that anyone can get. I was told that it's not in every state yet and unfortunately is not in my state. However, someone from another state who has the card, can come to Sally's in my state and use the card.

Re: Sally\'s Card

I got one for free because my aunt is good friend's with the husband of our local Sally's manager's husband. He gave her like 10 cards; I always use mine but I've saved anywhere from 10 cents to 5 dollars; I'm not sure if the more you buy the more you save, I only pick up a few items everytime I'm in there...
