Re: Sale at Folica on Sedu Revolution Professional Nano Tourmaline 1" Ionic Styling I

Please do a review. I am thinking of gettting this flat ironbut I was wondering do you have to hold the flat iron with two hands to get a tight clamp. I know some people complained that they don't like when their flat iron pulls their hair but I prefer it over using two hands.

So I received my Sedu last week. I bought the new Sedu advertised.

My quick review is that it is just okay.

I rollerset my hair sat under the dryer. After my hair was dry, I removed the rollers and proceeded to flat iron. It was okay. It was able to straightened out the waves I still had--but I was not really impressed.

To be fair, it was my first attempt at flat ironing in a couple of years.

During the week-end I went to a salon and had my hair blown out and flat ironed. I used the sedu the next day for a quick touch up on some parts that were pouffy.

Again, I wasn't that impressed. I will give it one more try--if not I will exchange.

I am really sorry to hear about your experiences. I bought my Sedu on the one day only special also. I used it as soon as I got it last Friday. I fell head-over-heels in love with it! I will have to take some pics of my Sedu hairstyle. I've posted my experience here: http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showpost.php?p=2140149&postcount=248

I am thinking about buying another Sedu..for backup, lol. I have had mine 3 years now and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I am soo scared it is going to quit working one of these days and then I will be stuck. I know it's a newer version, but 119?? I paid 89 for mine, I am sure it's worth it, but geez, I am trying to save money this year, lol.

Nikki--does the temperature setting on your sedu blink or stay constant?
I was just wondering bc the light is always blinking on mine. (Wasn't sure if that was normal)

Thanks.

I've only used it twice. Maybe I have to work on my techinque?

Aminata -

The light blinks when the selected temperature is reached (in a matter of seconds). Don't worry, it's definitely normal.

As for technique, it took me a couple of passes at the nape, which is where I start. I finally realized that I had to iron no more than 1-1/2 - 2" at a time. If your parts are too wide, you will not get good results.

Everyone is different, not only in hair type, but preference. My Sedu has made my hair feel so much softer and look so much sleeker than the CHI. I can't even tell my hair was damaged, other than the fact that I am in dire need of a trim to even my ends. I thought all hope was lost before I met Sedu!

I finally used my Sedu again--I love the results. Practice makes perfect.
