I know there are a lot of fans of the S-Curl spray, but what about the gel? Anyone use this product?

Ingredients:
Water , Glycerine , Propylene Glycol , Hydrolyzed Animal Protein , Panthenol , Carbopol-940 , Fragrance , Triethanolamine , Methylparaben , Simethicone , FD&C Blue #1

I was using this for my slick back pony tails til I discovered the Fantasia Gel w/Sparklites.

I still use it for my wash and go's but only until it's used up. I won't replace it. It's not bad, just not what I need.

Thank you LaNecia! Where can I buy this product?

You're most welcome! You can probably get it from almost any BSS, Walmart, Sally's, Rite-Aid. It's $3.99 at Sally's. The container size is 10.5 oz. It's nice in that it gives a nice hold w/out drying out the hair (but my kinks need something w/just a tad bit more muscle!)

Also, have you tried the Smooth and Shine Curl Activator Gel? Just trying to figure out which is the best of the two. If they have a return policy I may just try both.

 Yes, I have some of that too! I really like this! The S-Curl Gel does dry a bit, but it doesn't dry out the hair (does that make sense?).

The Shine Curl Activator, stays moist, keeps the hair supple. I use this most on my pony tail on the ends to keep them from getting that crispy feelings that accompanies some curling gels.

So...it depends on what you are looking for! And yes, they do have a return policy, it's much easier if you hang onto the receipt! ;)

Hint....while you're in the store, open them and do a small test of the consistency, you'll see the difference immediately! :sekret:

I have only tried the gel but I prefer World of Curls activator gel or Smooth and shine activator gel (aloe vera) better. I need to try the Fantasia Gel w/Sparklites one of these days.

Girl, there is no better gel than Fantasia w/Sparkelites!
I recently tried the S-Curl no drip spray, and it offered me no curl definition whatsoever. Did give me a nice soft fluffy fro look tho!

I've only used S-curl gel for the last 8 yrs, for wash & go's and to slick back my hair. Like already mentioned, you can get them at your local BSS, or sallys, walmart, walgreens, cvs just about anywhere.

These were the two products that I found: Smooth'N Shine Super Shine Conditioning Gel and the Smooth'N Shine Gellation Styling Gel. Are either of these the right product? Unfortunately, I couldn't find the Fantasia Gel.

Okay, I see now that both of the products I got are the wrong ones! I guess the CVS here didn't have it.

These are the ones we've discussed today so far:

Please excuse my appliances in the background... :look:

I've used the wave gel. It works pretty much the same as other gels on my hair... I get really nice luscious curls with great definition!!! .... but I think I like Fantasia w/sparkelites betta'!!
