Yes girl, it smells EXACTLY like Vicks Vapor Rub!!! When I had that oil I was so shocked that it smelled like that.

I experienced that too. Its a potent oil, and I think the 'tingling' is what causes stimulation for the scalp. Be sure to dilute it well in your mixtures to avoid any irritation to your scalp.

I don't feel any tingling.

Could it still me stimulating?

Really

I would *think* its stills working, but that's just my theory...I have a sensitive scalp and I definately noticed it. I stopped using rosemary oil after awhile, though. I hope regular users will chime in with their experience.

Mine doesn't tingle because I diluted it well with jojoba and castor oil.

But yes it does smell like Vicks even with my dilution.

Brittany be careful with the application of rosemary oil. It should not be used alone. It need to mixed with a carrier oil (jojoba, castor, almond, etc). Do a search online because I've heard about negative side effects from using undiluted rosemary oil. I know pregnant women are advised against using it at all. Not trying to scare you or anything, just looking out

I do diluted it. I just wanted to know if it is still working if I don't feel a tingle. I guess maybe this is why I don't feel the tingle.

Is there another oil that will diminish the scent of rosemary oil?

I have a mixture that I use for hair growth that has pure vitamin e oil, jojoba oil, and equal amount of drops of rosemary and peppermint oils. The peppermint will cut right through that "vapor rub vicks smell"

I agree with KhalesSta. I started adding peppermint oil to my deep conditioners but the last conditioner I bought I experiment with rosemary instead and did not like the smell. So I added put in a few drops of peppermin and voila!!
