Hi! I am a newbie to this forum and I am sooo happy I found LHCF!!
I just started roller setting about 2 months ago and I noticed little fly away hairs everywhere and I was concerned that my hair might be breaking due to the rollers or maybe the metal clips. My hair doesn't seemed damaged or thinner. It actually looks healthier and fuller since I have been rollersetting. So I asked my mother and this is the explaination she gave me:
You naturally shed hairs and new hairs grow in. When you roller set against the way your hair naturally lays the shorter "new" hairs dry either straight up or out. So you notice them when you take the rollers out because they dried sticking up or out. Hair that is breaking has to go somewhere. You'll either see it on the floor, in your comb or wrapped around the roller itself. So if you're hair isn't thining don't worry about it. It's just your natural new hairs growing in you see.
It sounds good. Has anyone else experienced the short fly aways but don't see any difference in their hair?
