When I hit waist I stop
I'm thinking about going to a Dominican Salon because of all the good reviews that I've been hearing from youl adies on the board /images/graemlins/smile.gif It would be easy for me since there is one maybe at a stretch one 10 minutes from my house.

I remember not liking them the first time I went there because the heat was crazy but I was also retared and asked for a blowout /images/graemlins/wallbash.gif Anywayz my hair is natural and I'm really not sure how that'll work for me. Doesn't the heat reek havic on you hair?

Can you giys give me some advice....please /images/graemlins/angel.gif

Try doing a search on recent experiences with Dominican salons. Some good salons were mentioned in some threads that may be close to your home. HTH

oh yeah i dont like it too much when they use blowdryers too much on my hair either. I ususally ask them to rollerset my hair then just wrap it.

IMO, the heat is not as bad as it would be if you used direct heat, e.g: flat iron, curling iron.

I think that it's best to have them blow only your roots. Also, each stylist has a different hand. What I mean by that is, some stylists are heavy-handed...they do everything with force, while some are a little more gentle.

The thickness of your hair is also something that could impact how well your hair looks w/o blowing. If you have fine or thin hair, you may be able to get by with just a doobie. I personally, cannot even THINK about not blowing my roots unless I get used to the major puffing.
