Its probably been asked a million times already but Im curious.

I use 24 of the bright purple/fushcia ones. I found some with the snap on covers. I can just fit under the dryer (Pibbs) so I wont be able to go any bigger.

I use anywhere from 24 to 26.

I finally picked up my black rollers from my mom's house (2.5 inches), so it will be interesting to see how well I do or do not fit under my dryer (Parlux).

I use 24, but I thought my head was small, but I see that is the average. My hair is short I use yellow, pink and orange.

Hi Buffalo Soldier,

I currently use around 20. I use the green (3") and a few of the gray (2") around my edges. The 3" rollers are probably a little too large for my hair length (I can only wrap my hair around them 1-1/2 times) but I can't find any 2-1/2" ones. With my hair growth I figure in another six months the 3" ones will be perfect, I'll just have a longer drying time.

BTW, I use an Ion Soft Bonnet dryer. The bonnet is able to accomodate the 3" rollers.

At least thirty if I do it right so it can dry faster.

Currently with hair longer than midback, I use 29 big blue meshrollers. Diameter is 2 inches. I barely enter under the dryer, an italian professional brand Artem. With hair between armpit and midback I am using 24 rollers.

well you use the most !!! my SO had to help me into the dryer the last time :)

Looks like I use the least! :look: I may try using more rollers next time and see what happens.

I used just a few more rollers today successfully! I'm still doing the ponytail rollerset method so I don't need that many ponytails.

I use 12 purple ones.. but they're too small and my hair always falls off of them because I have to put too much on one roller. I'm going to move up to gray.. then we'll see.

Yep u do! But that's good esp if u are getting nice results. How many ponytails do you do? When I used to do the ponytail method, I used to have about 12 ponytails and use about 26 -30 pink rollers.

I use about 22 mesh rollers for my wet set. The more rollers, the smoother the results.

For dry sets, I just slap about 8 rollers in my hair. They help to protect my ends while I sleep and maintain the curl. Also my hair stays clean longer when I dry set each night.

Today (actually yesterday) I used 10 gray rollers on 10 ponytails and rolled all the way up. This is the most I've done. I started out doing 4 - 5 ponytails and rollers.

You must have been splitting your ponytails to have so many rollers, right? Like 2-3 rollers per ponytail?

yes exactly ! Like someone else said the more rollers the better the results :) I wouldnt have the patience to do the ponytail method now but it's really good for when u are starting out

Please what do you guys use to roller set? is it just a setting lotion? Do you use leave in. If so, is it creamy or watery? I did mine with lottabody and salerm 21 and my hair is cottony. I have fine hair so i expected the cottony but why wont it swing?

I use L'Oreal's Natures Therapy Taming Creme. I used to use John Frieda's Frizz Ease but I prefer the Taming Creme instead. I also flat iron my hair after my roller sets 'cuz it ends up puffy and stiff.

I use Nexxus Headress (creamy) leave-in conditioner. Sometimes I use Biolage Leave-in Tonic (watery). Both give lots of slip and have great detangling. My hair swings every time. I haven't used setting lotion yet for rollersets.

19 : using a combo between small purples and greys right now....smaller rollers gives me more curls at the ends

20-21 : using greys, black, big purple ( beer/soda can ones)...less curl
