Rod Sets

I don't have one. (I always forget!) But I can explain. You have to take small sections of hair. It makes the set fuller and prettier IMO. Take your section of hair, place your endwrap and start rolling in a diagonal. The rod should be sitting straight up and down, not laying flat on your head like a roller. It should hang exactly like you want the curl to hang. Use whatever setting/styling lotion you would use on a rollerset. HTH.

ETA: like this

But this is a straw set so the pieces of hair do not have to be that small. But smaller is better.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully I can do it myself. I've always had my sons girlfriend do it for me. My only worry is rolling the back of my hair. I've had rod sets twice this month and I absolutely love them. It is a really good protective style

that's an accurate description. the best thing about them is that the curls don't have to be made perfectly. i've done my own for years...AND i don't always let the rod hang straight down...it still comes out great.

I would recommend the Lottabody creme wrap. It's a creme, so you can use it easily and it's not drippy. It give a firm, but not too crunchy hold. Or, whatever you use for regular rollersets.
